The below charts are updated monthly to indicate the average monthly averages so one can view what the average monthly soil temperature and soil moisture values are.  The charts give a sense of what is "normal"  for the month and the year.  You should compare them with the active soil readings.

In winter, soil readings tend to creep up to 200 cb because the ground is freezing at that depth
